Office Manager, Corporate Finance & Business Development

Responsibilities

Accounting

Handle day to day financial operations:
Run AP reports in Simply Accounting and propose weekly AP runs based on cash availability, to be reviewed and approved by HoD
Writing cheques and paying suppliers
Daily mail runs and cheque deposits
Create monthly and quarterly financial statements
Create year-end financial statements
Assist external accountants in year-end preparation
Liaison with financial institution


Office Management

A) Maintain Office Services:
Establish standards and office procedures where needed
Organize office operations
Maintain a high-quality, client friendly office environment
Manage office supply requisitions
Maintain office equipment
Assist with on/off boarding of employees/contractors
Liaison with contractors and vendors

B) Maintain Office Records:
Ensuring filing systems are maintained and up to date
Define procedures for record retention
Ensure protection and of files and records
Ensure Personnel files are up to date and secure


Requirements

Knowledge

Experience with basic accounting and daily bookkeeping
Experience using accounting program Simply Accounting
Experience with office administration
Office management and supervision
Ability to create new processes


Skills

Excellent interpersonal and team building ability
Analytical and problem solver
Make educated decisions without supervision
Exceptional communications (verbal and listening)
High attention to detail, accuracy, organization
Advanced PC computer skills including MS Office.
Stress and time management abilities

Education
A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business and accounting preferred. Courses in Tax and Accounting Software an asset.

Experience
At least 3years of bookkeeping and office administrative experience in an office environment or equivalent.

Subang
